LONG TIME NO HEAR FROM

Hi All,

I know I have not updated my blogspot for a long time, actually since Fall. It took my daughter, Colleen, to email me and remind me. The reason is that I forgot my username and password, and to retrieve it seemed to send me round and round in circles, so I spent some extra time tonight to finally figure it out.

Well, I am in the middle of Winter quarter, and am ready to register for Spring quarter next Wednesday. Wow! Where does the time go?!! I will be doing my Practicum I at one of the local schools in the spring, hopefully at a school that has a program for autistic children, and classrooms of children with other disabilities. I will stay at that school until next winter, and am hoping after having a few stints at their school, I will be able to apply for a job there. You know, since they already know me and I am familiar with the students, school, and staff.

We, here in Spokane, are enjoying a "California winter" due to the above normal temps and no snow to barely speak of, and now we're into February, and no snow in the long forecast. We are lovin' it after the horrible, record-breaking winter we had last year!

My grandson, had a long and trying stay in the hospital for a month before Christmas; went in for observation for a few days this past week, and now home. He is fine now, but he seems to like to keep us all on our toes with lots of prayer and working even harder to give him very good care. He now has to sleep at night with a bi-pap machine, which is similar to the c-pap that people with sleep apnea use at night.

I just received my Nu-Wave oven and am so excited! It's an appliance that can cook anything, even bakes, and you can put your whole dinner in (even frozen), and it cooks it in a short amount of time and keeps more of the nutrients in and gets rid of most of the fats. You just sit it on your counter and press the minutes in and "Start" and walk away, and it turns off when done. Like I said, I'm excited to use it! You see, I haven't been able to use my apartment oven, only the range and my microwave. Now my meals will be very healthy, lower in fat, and done in little time!
